April 6, 2020 Update - Yard waste collection will resume and collection will begin again the week of April 6, 2020.
March 24, 2020 Update - There will be no yard waste collection until further notice. The Borough’s disposal location is currently closed due to COVID-19. While we understand this is a temporary closure, we do not have any information as to when the disposal location will resume operations. Please do not place yard waste curbside, as the Borough hauler will not collect it. For the time being, residents will need to store yard waste on their property for future collection. The Borough will communicate all updates regarding yard waste collection through our website and on Facebook, as well as additional telephone messages.
March 20, 2020 Update - There will be no yard waste collection the week of March 23, 2020. The Borough’s disposal location is currently closed due to COVID-19. We will communicate any additional impacts of yard waste collection through our website and on Facebook. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Yard Waste Curbside Collection
Curbside collection of yard waste is every other week on the same days as trash and recycling collection. Soft and woody yard waste may be combined and placed in a non-disposable container or can of the resident’s choice but the container may not be larger than 32-gallons. Kraft leaf bags can also be used in addition to the non-disposable container.
Branches should be placed in a container or tied with string in bundles up to 20" in diameter and less than 4' in length and set at the curb. Bundles or containers should weigh no more than 30 pounds.
If a resident chooses to use a non-disposable container for yard waste, the container must be labeled with a yard waste sticker. Free yard waste stickers are available at the Borough Office during regular business hours Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
