Lancaster County Long Range Transportation Plan and TIP Update

The Lancaster County Planning Commission is seeking public comment on the updated Long Range Transportation Plan, Connections 2014, 2016 Update.

The LRTP is now available for public review and comment by municipalities and school districts in and adjacent to Lancaster County for a 45-day period.  This public comment period is held prior to consideration of the LRTP by the Lancaster County Planning Commission and the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners as an updated element of the Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan, as required by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.  The LCPC considered Connections 2040, 2016 Update as part of its meeting agenda on September 26, 2016 and the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on the LRTP at its October 5, 2016 meeting.

The LRTP is available for review on the LCPC website; click on Programs and Services, Transportation and scroll down to Draft 2017 TiP and LRTP.  The LRTP is item 13 under Public Review Packet.  Comments are to be submitted to or by mail to the Lancaster County Planning Commission.

TIP and LRTP Review History:

On June 27, 2016, the Lancaster County Transportation Coordinating Committee, the county's Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), approved an updated Long Range Transportation Plan, Connections 2040, 2016 Update, as required by federal transportation law.

Draft 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Draft Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).  An open house format was held on Thursday, May 19th at the Lancaster County Government Center for the public to ask questions and provide comments.
