Annual Holiday Parade

The Borough's holiday parade is an annual event that brings Santa to town for the holiday season.  The 2017 parade, themed Peace on Earth, will be held on Saturday, December 9th, starting at 4:00 p.m.  Entries are judged on a combined score for best use of theme, originality, charm, technical performance, and audio/visual appeal.

Santa's Castle/Story Time

Santa makes his grand entrance to Elizabethtown as the last entry in the parade. Once the parade disburses at Mechanics Alley, Santa makes his way back to his castle on the southwest corner of Market and High Street. Here he visits with children of all ages listening to their hopes and dreams for the holiday season.  In addition to parade night (December 9, 2017), Santa will be in his castle and also at the Elizabethtown Public Library for story time on the following dates/times from December 12th through December 23rd:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at the castle, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by story time at the library from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Fridays at the castle, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:
    • December 15
    • December 22
  • Saturdays at the castle, noon to 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:
