Temporary Truck Traffic Restrictions

On August 15, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department re-issued a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.

On August 12, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department re-issued a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.

On August 9, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department re-issed a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.

On August 5, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department re-issued a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.

On August 2, 2018 the Elizabethtown Police Department re-issued a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.

On July 30, 2018 Elizabethtown Police Department issued a temporary truck traffic restriction on certain roadways in the borough.  

The temporary restriction, pursuant to Chapter 15, Section 104 of the Elizabethtown Borough Code of Ordinances, is on commercial vehicles, with the exception of emergency vehicles and approved local deliveries. The streets affected by the temporary restrictions include:

  • West Summit Street, from North Market Street to North Poplar Street;
  • East Summit Street from North Market Street to North Mt. Joy Street;
  • West Willow Street, from North Market Street to Maple Street;
  • West Hummelstown Street from North Market Street to Maple Street;
  • East Hummelstown Street from North Market Street to North Spruce Street;
  • North Spruce Street from East Willow Street to East High Street. 

The temporary restriction is effective immediately and will, by ordinance, last for 72 hours.  The restriction will be reevaluated after 72 hours to determine if it is appropriate and effective.
