PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE--The holiday parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th! The time was changed to provide the community an opportunity to attend both the parade and the EAHS boys soccer team championship game. We hope to see you there!
The Borough's holiday parade is an annual event that brings Santa to town for the holiday season. It is held on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving (November 19, 2016; inclement weather date Sunday, December 4th). The theme for 2016 is Colors of the Season.
The parade begins at 2:00 p.m. at the corner of South Market/West Bainbridge Streets and travels north on Market Street to the intersection of North Market Street and Mechanics Alley. While the parade disburses at Mechanics Alley, Santa exist the parade at his castle at the corner of Market and High Street where he remains as he takes time with our children to learn about their wishes and dreams for Christmas Eve.
The parade is judged each year on the best use of theme, originality, charm, technical performance, and audio/visual appeal. The public is invited to participate by submitting an application and the required hold-harmless agreement. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please feel free to call the Borough for questions/more information.
